QRV (Quick release valve)

Quick-release valves are used to route the supply air to pneumatic components and then rapidly release the pressure in order to disengage (clutch) or unlock (brake) the assembly in the shortest possible time.

This QRV model is threaded directly into the air inlet valve of the pneumatic component itself, replacing the standard elbow connection.

The air is exhausted through the outlet of the quick-release valve. This allows the friction shoes and the drive drum to lose contact almost instantaneously, since the QRV exhaust valve is located much closer to the clutch/brake air tube than in a conventional installation. In standard installations, a larger volume of air must be exhausted, as it also includes the entire supply line volume up to the control valve.

Slippage is reduced almost to zero, preventing the resulting temperature rise that leads to premature wear of the friction elements.

They can be used in CB and VC series.

They are fully interchangeable with comparable products from Eaton Airflex, Fawick, Falk, Renold, Gummi, etc.
