Pneumatic Elements 'VC Series'

Its design, featuring an air-pressurized rubber tube reinforced with multiple layers of fabric, is radically different from the CB model, since the torque is transmitted through asbestos-free friction shoes with an aluminum body and torque bars to the steel rim, not subjecting the pneumatic tube rubber and fabric to high shear stresses or temperatures.

The ventilated pneumatic elements of the VC Series are specifically designed for very demanding air brakes and air clutch applications where there are large inertial loads with prolonged slipping. These extreme conditions result in a loss of torque and a reduced useful life for Series CB clutches, which are unable to dissipate the heat generated by such severe service.

The magnitude of the torque transmitted depends on the air pressure applied and the rotation speed.

It can transmit a nominal torque of up to 316000[Nm] in its simple configuration and with an effective pressure of 5.2 [Bar].

Both the complete couplings and their replacement parts are fully interchangeable with comparable products from Eaton Airflex, Fawick, Falk, Renold, Gummi, etc.
